Museum Studies Program

A special graduate program is available for students with professional interests in museum administration, leading to a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. Students with undergraduate backgrounds in fields such as Anthropology, Art, History, and Political Science may develop personal courses of study which blend general public administration and management concerns with

Center for Archeological Investigation

The Center's missions are to promote the protection and understanding of the cultural patrimony of the Americas and to facilitate national and international archaeological research. To fulfill these goals, the Center undertakes four major activities: a) the Visiting Scholar Program (which supports a postdoctoral fellow who pursues research, teaching, and writing in the Center); b) publication of research results and proceedings from the annual Visiting Scholar Conference; c) contract and grant-funded field research in the American Midwest, Mesoamerica, and Micronesia as well as a summer Archaeological Field School; and d) curation (which includes the care and use of collections for research, student training, and public education).
