Center for the Study of Cultures

The Center for the Study of Cultures exists to promote the study of cultures across time and around the world, both as unique examples of human behavior and creativity and as interconnected phenomena that can illuminate one another. The CSC has a faculty exchange agreement with the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Designed to enhance professional developments and to promote international relations, each year one member of the faculty in the humanities and culturally oriented social sciences at either university will spend several weeks to one semester at the host institution.
