MD/PhD Medical Scientist Program

The MD/PhD Medical Scientist Program trains physician scientists. Students are recruited on the basis of scholastic and research achievement and demonstrated commitment to medicine. In addition to the traditional MD/PhD curriculum, an Integrated Medical Scientist Program is offered and the synchronized coursework allows students to complete the program in less tim

East Asian Studies Center

Established in 1969, Center coordinates and supports research and instructional activities and transmits faculty expertise and university resources to the civic, educational, and business communities in our region. The Institute for Japanese Studies within the Center, for example, offers the Japan Artifact Box which can be borrowed for use in schools, libraries and community organizations for up to two weeks. It contains an array of items from Japan such as clothing, traditional toys, maps & postcards, cooking utensils and various other materials.
