Women's Studies Research Center

The Brandeis University Women's Studies Research Center is an interdisciplinary think-and-action tank of faculty, staff and affiliated scholars. As an "intellectual hub," the WSRC provides researchers and artists with the opportunity to conduct studies, produce works of art, write books, and experiment with ideals, all of which address the basic concerns of women in the home, the workplace, the media, and the economy. The WSRC is deeply committed to furthering Brandeis University's mission of excellence and commitment to social justice.

Institute for Sustainable Development

Within the Institute, the Center for International Development is engaged in applied research that furthers knowledge about sustainable development and helps build local capacity to solve problems and plan sound development strategies. CID works in partnership with development organizations and universities abroad on issues of Community Resource Management (including Integrated Conservation and Development); Poverty Alleviation and Resource Distribution; Gender and Development; and NGOs and Civil Society (including NGO Project Monitoring and Evaluation). CID is also the home for the Tibet Development Studies Project through our Development Dialogue programs bringing together researchers and practitioners working in politically sensitive regions.
