Michael Barton Compile, manage and disseminate a state-wide registry of archaeological sites and historic properties. Participate in a state commission that advises the State Historic Preservation Officer as well as the state's Governor.
Elizabeth Brandt Work on land claims as well as conduct research to assist environmental lawyers trying to stop the proposed expansion of a damaging mica mine. Conducted land claim research that resulted in the Pueblo of Isleta (New Mexico) being awarded 40 million dollars. Have assisted in efforts to revive the Southern Tiwa language.

Nora Haenn Made three radio presentations to the semi-literate Xpujil community in Mexico reading the results of research on their community produced by various researchers. Numerous public presentations to local communities. Helped K-12 teachers in the Phoenix area enrich their curriculum in respect to valuing archaeological artifacts.

Keith Kintigh Collaborated with the Hopi Tribe to develop a trail guide and an exhibit on the rock art and prehistoric ruins in Lyman Lake State Park, Arizona. This was associated with our excavation and stabilization of Rattlesnake Point a Pueblo town dating to the AD 1300s. These excavations were partly conducted through a summer archaeological field school I directed for primary and secondary field school teachers that provided them information and curriculum materials to help them include archaeology and Native American history in their teaching. Worked with former Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt on President Clinton's establishment of Agua Fria National Monument. This included work with the media, public figures, and the BLM. Numerous press interviews, particularly on the subject of repatriation, and numerous public lectures. Currently working with the local public TV station on a segment on an interdisciplinary research project at Agua Fria National Monument.
Margaret Nelson Completed a book of education activities that can be used in middle through high school teaching of archaeology and critical thinking skills. Train high school teachers on how to encourage critical thinking skills in students through learning evolution. Serve on a review panel of science projects for 6-12th grade students. Bring graduate students to work with local middle and high school teachers to enrich local science and inquiry-based programs. Facilitated and co-wrote the five year plan for the Las Fuentes Health Clinic.

Michael Smith Numerous off-campus public lectures in Mexico and the U.S. Maintain a series of informative web sites on the Aztecs and archaeology, and answer email queries from these. Frequent consultant for K-12 textbooks and materials and I edited a special theme issue (on the Aztecs) of Calliope, a children's history magazine.
Peter Welsh Helped the Heard Museum study how visitors experience its art exhibits. Helped create the Autry National Center in Los Angeles. Help with the Deer Valley Rock Art Center's public outreach activities. Numerous public lectures. Worked with students in Phoenix to develop programs and exhibitions for the Carver Museum and Cultural Center.
