| COPYRIGHT PERMISSION FORM Anthropology Journals Project As part of the Anthropology Journals Project, I am preparing several summaries to be published in the "Archive" section of the publicanthropology.org website. My signature below signifies that I transfer the complete copyright for these summaries to the webmaster of the publicanthropology.org website to allow for this publication. This does not restrict my also publishing my own summaries elsewhere as I see fit. But it does mean I waive all financial and legal control over these summaries in respect to the website and, further, in respect to any subsequent publication in "hardcopy" - as a paperback or hardback book - that arises from publication on this website. (There presently are no plans for such a "hardcopy" publication but if it does occur, at some future date, it would prove nearly impossible to go back, at a later time, and get every student’s signature involved in the project. Hence, permission is being asked for such a publication even though it presently appears unlikely). I understand the project’s aim is to publish summaries of the articles in leading anthropology journals on the publicanthropology.org website so the information contained in them can be made available to a wide audience - not only students and faculty around the world but also the general public. Profits are not likely to result from this project. But, if they do (such as if the summaries are published in "hardcopy" as a paperback book), I understand and accept that all such profits will go to the perpetuation of the publicanthropology.org website and will be used by the webmaster for that purpose and that purpose alone. I also understand that this is my work and that my name will be prominently placed below the summary on the website. While I certainly deserve credit for producing it, I also accept responsibility for checking there are no spelling or grammatical mistakes. I accept that the webmaster may find mistakes and, if so, will try to correct them. However, I understand and agree that with roughly 8,000 summaries being published on the web this semester I, ultimately, am the only one who can insure there are no embarrassing errors. In signing my signature below, I acknowledge I have read, understood, and agreed to the above terms.
